Payroll Deduction Donations
Many people WANT to support their community, but donating a large lump sum can be prohibitive for some. United Way makes it possible for employees to donate small, recurring amounts through their paycheques. Payroll deduction donations are a great way to include giving in a personal budget.
Sometimes, special events are just for employees, like casual dress days, or prize draws for a prime parking spot at work. Some encourage customers and clients to get involved, like book sales or raffles. When it comes to events, the sky is the limit.
Many companies offer to match their employees’ donations making them go twice as far in the community.
