United Way is thrilled to welcome Taunya Pickles as our new Executive Director.

With more than 30 years leading strategy, communications, and organizational change across nonprofit, education, government, and business, Taunya brings a rare, whole-organization understanding of how mission-driven work actually gets done, and sustained. She has led teams through complex change, built brands people trust, and created the conditions that make great work last.

She holds a Prosci Level 2 Change Management certification and an IAP2 Public Participation designation, giving her the tools to bring a community through change without losing it, and to build the kind of trust that real impact depends on.

Her leadership style is direct, warm, and grounded, rooted in the belief that lasting community impact is built through relationships, not just campaigns.

A lifelong Lethbridge community builder, Taunya joins United Way ready to deepen the partnerships and trust that make this work possible.

We’re excited for what she’ll build with all of us. Welcome to the team, Taunya.
