Rylan’s interests in psychology, economics, human decision-making, and risk led him to pursue his career in law. Born and raised in Lethbridge, Rylan began his articles with Davidson & Williams LLP in the summer of 2014. Rylan was called to the Alberta Bar on July 31, 2015 and became a partner of the firm as of January 1, 2017.
Rylan works with a wide range of clients, from first-time home buyers to large businesses. He is particularly motivated by the potential complexity of corporate and commercial transactions. He enjoys delving into a problem or transaction and finding the best solution for his clients. Rylan works with his clients to achieve a result that is feasible, legally sound and adaptable for the future.
Rylan received his primary and secondary education in Lethbridge, and then spent a year living and working in Australia. He graduated from the University of Lethbridge in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts and Science degree (with great distinction) in psychology and economics and received the Governor General’s Academic Medal. In 2014 Rylan received his Juris Doctor degree from the Faculty of Law at the University of Victoria.
In addition to giving his time as a United Way Board Director, Rylan is also active in volunteering with Lethbridge Legal Guidance. Rylan also enjoys running, mountain biking, skiing, and spending time with family.
