To Our Volunteers

As 2014's National Volunteer Week wraps up, we want you to know that it doesn’t matter whether you volunteer a little or a lot, or even whether you volunteer with us or another organization. You are helping to make a difference in the lives of others.

Over the last year, we have had the privilege of working with more than 100 unique volunteers from student groups, local businesses, community service groups and many individuals who have been part of more than 2,000 collective volunteer hours. That is simply amazing.

You've volunteered with us at summer events, Hurricanes games, in our office and in your own workplaces. Because of your hard work, things are happening in the community. Tiny babies are getting a good start to life, people with disabilities have a voice among us, youth have access to skill-building programs and employment services and much more.

Volunteers truly make the world go ‘round and because so many people care, we are that much closer to meeting and beating our goals.

From all of us here at the United Way and on behalf of the organizations we support… Thanks a million for being a volunteer! We couldn’t do it without you!
