United Way is pleased to congratulate Chris Murray and the team at Murray Chevrolet Cadillac on reaching 75% participation and an all-time best in their 2016 United Way Employee Giving campaign!
On Wednesday, December 21, it was revealed that the Murray Auto Group and its employees pledged a total of $74,112. The amount includes individual employee donations, a dollar-for-dollar company match, a second dollar-for-dollar match by Chris Murray personally, and for the first time, yet another matching amount for reaching the 75% participation goal.
Thanks to the support of individual employees and businesses like Murray Chevrolet Cadillac, United Way is able to support community programs at a variety of local organizations. Last year, over 22,000 people were helped by United Way Partner programs with goals to alleviate child poverty and overall poverty, encourage healthy lifestyles, and promote positive child and youth development. United Way’s Donor’s Choice program makes it possible to help many more people by also facilitating donations to other registered charities.
Thanks to donor support, United Way is also able to provide interactive learning opportunities on the subjects of financial literacy and poverty; arrange the donation and distribution of winter gear during the Coats for Kids & Families Collection and new socks through the Toasty Toes Sock Drive and more.
