Make a Difference

Give a little… Do a LOT!

It’s Simple.

You lead a busy lifestyle. Making United Way your charity of choice saves you time and stretches your donation further in the community. Your donation, when pooled with many others in our Community Fund, supports a variety of local organizations providing essential programs for people and families. United Way-funded programs help thousands of people each year.

It’s Local.

Donations to United Way’s Community Fund stay local and support programs in South Western Alberta. If you live and work here, your money stays here. Simple as that.

It Feels Good.

Like you, your United Way team lives and works locally, and wants to build thriving communities. The people helped by United Way-funded programs are our friends, family or neighbours – people we know.

Ways to Give...

United Way accepts gifts, and raises money primarily for the Community Fund, which is distributed to local charities annually. In addition, United Way's Donor's Choice program allows you the option to direct your gift to any registered Canadian Charity you wish. If there is one that is close to your heart, we are pleased to forward your donation (some conditions apply). Just let us know.

Whether you choose to give to the Community Fund, or to another charity of your choice, all of our giving options are available to you:

  • Online - Click the "Give" button above. Fill out the form. Feel good. Easy!

  • Payroll Deductions - We work with business, big and small, across South Western Alberta to facilitate payroll deduction donations for employees. If your workplace doesn't have a United Way Campaign yet, ask us about starting one!

  • In Person – Personal donations can be made by cash, debit/credit or cheque here at our office, or when you see us at special events.

  • Leadership Giving – Annual Leadership gifts of $1,200+ fuel our work in South Western Alberta communities.

If you have any questions about the work your donation does, please don't hesitate to contact us. United Way of Lethbridge & South Western Alberta follows the DONOR BILL OF RIGHTS developed by the Association of Fundraising Professionals.

“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.”
