United Way of Lethbridge and South Western Alberta is a registered charitable organization that fundraises to address important health and human service issues. United Way insures the money donated is used in the most efficient and effective manner possible. United Way strives to form positive relationships with charitable organizations, private and government funders, businesses, corporations, health sector to name a few.

Fundraising

United Way of Lethbridge and South Western Alberta raises funds through Special Events and the Annual Campaign. This includes Individual Donations, the Employee Workplace Campaign, and Corporate donations.

Donating and Distribution

When a donation is made to the United Way, donors can choose to give to the United Way Community Fund or to a registered charity of their choice.

The needs in the community are increasing and growing more complex every day and the United Way is working towards making Lethbridge and surrounding area a better place for everyone to live. Donations made to the Community Fund are helping to do just that. When you donate, your gift goes into the pool of donations United Way uses to fund programs at local charitable organizations, that help support community needs. The funds are distributed through an application process to these organizations.
